At the beginning of the year, we made personal narratives on our own lives. My narritve is about when I was in seventh grade. We tried to add a universal lesson, something everyone could learn from, or relate to.
Heres my reflection:
- What is the real story you’re trying to tell your audience?
- Who is your intended audience? How did you decide who you were writing to? Did you have to change the way you were writing to match your audience?
Yes, I did have to change the story. I had to add more details on what fasting is, so my audience won’t be like “Wait, so can she drink water” I dunno I’m confused.
- Finally, if you had this project to do over again, would you choose the same moment in your life? Or, would you write about something elses?
Later on, we made editorials, which are mainly like perssuasive essays. My editorial is about the increase of first world problems, and how this has to change.
Now we are doing book clubs, my book is Ender's Gmae, the book was very interesting and had a lot of differnet themes, and the main character Ender, goes through a lot of emotions, so my bookclub members created a life graph, to chart his feelings.
As, a class we are reading Romeo and Juliet, and we are focusing on how Shakesphere uses his words and the language to put his point and his idea out there, and for the audience to understand.
